This is first shift: Monday -Friday 7:30am-4:00pm

Position summary

The Calibration Technician will ensure product compliance to quality system and customer specifications through maintenance and calibration of measuring equipment. 

Essential Job Functions                                                                

  • Follow and execute calibration procedures
  • Maintain database to track calibration status of gages and equipment
  • Coordinate outside calibration services
  • Communicate gage related quality issues to quality management team
  • Reads and complies with work instructions, set up sheets, and checklists
  • Enters production information into the ERP system on a timely basis
  • Accurately records and reports hours worked
  • Maintains an organized work area (5S) to include workstations, equipment, and walkways
  • Participates in the Operational Excellence Program
  • Understands and complies with the Cretex professional competencies, company policies, and employee manual
  • Adheres to all safety policies; includes wearing personal protective equipment when required
  • Supports and complies with the company's Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
  • Completes all other work duties as assigned

 

Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience (incl. KSA's and certifications)

  • Basic understanding of ISO 13485
  • Knowledge of quality specifications and regulatory requirements regarding calibration
  • Basic understanding of gage application and usage
  • Familiarity with gage tracking software
  • Blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
  • Product and testing knowledge
  • Office systems software - word processing, spreadsheets
  • Effective communication
  • Gage ordering process
  • Work independently and proactively
  • Problem analysis/solving
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years related experience
  • Customer acceptance

Desirable Criteria & Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/13485
